Tests which apply to both single and double circuit alarms
1. Connect a patient circuit (single or double) fitted with a Maquet test lung to the ventilator and
perform the manual test.
2. Set the mode to ACV, Adult.
3. Set the ventilation parameters as follows:

F = 15 bpm
4. Start ventilation and perform the following actions:

Disconnect the patient circuit expiratory limb
Reconnect the patient circuit expiratory limb
Press the Alarm Silence button

Adjust the upper alarm threshold to F = 10 bpm
Adjust the upper alarm threshold to F = 35 bpm
Press the Alarm Silence button
MAXI P INSPI
Adjust the upper alarm threshold to Pmax = 10 cm H
Adjust the upper alarm threshold to Pmax = 60 cm H
Press the Alarm Silence button
5. Connect a high-pressure oxygen supply and a 2 litre test lung to the ventilator, then set the
following values:

= 2000 mL
T
PEEP = 5 cm H
O
2
F = 10 bpm
6. Set the V
, Ve, and Pmax alarm thresholds to their respective minimum and maximum

values.
7. Start ventilation and perform the following actions:
