Firmware Upgrade

Perform upgrades during a window when telephone traffic can be interrupted. When you
update your software, telephone services will be unavailable for several minutes.
To upgrade the firmware on the VPN concentrator, complete the following steps:
1. Connect to the VPN Concentrator CLI. Refer to
instructions.
2. Configure your computer with the following settings:
IP Address: 192.168.1.2
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Default gateway:192.168.1
Refer to the following diagram:
3. Verify that you can ping the VPN Concentrator (192.168.1.1) from your computer.
4. Download the VPN Concentrator firmware files from ShoreTel Support as follows.
a. Open a Web browser.
b. In the URL field, type: http://support.ShoreTel.com. The ShoreTel Support Web
page appears.
c. In the By Products list, select VPN Concentrator. The Customers and Partners
login page appears.
d. Enter your ShoreTel login name and password and click on the Sign In button.
The VPN Concentrator page appears.
e. In the Download section, click the VPN Concentrator build to which you want
to upgrade. The File Download dialog box appears.
