Configuring the Stunnel Username-Password Database

Incoming Stunnel client requests are authenticated against the user-defined username-
password database. The Username' s List page allows you to create a database of usernames
and passwords to be used for client request authentication. The Stunnel Username-
Passwords database has the following characteristics:
The maximum number of username/passwords that can be registered at a time is
1000.
The maximum length allowed for both usernames and passwords is 16 characters.
Empty strings are not allowed for usernames or passwords.
Duplicate username configurations are not allowed.
The permissible character set for usernames and passwords is - 'A' to 'Z', 'a' to 'z', '0'
to 9' and Printable characters as listed: `~!@#$%^& *()-_=+{}[]|:;"'<>,.\/?
To add or delete a user from the username-password database:
1. From the Configuration Menu, choose Stunnel
Usernames' List page opens.

Use the Browser button to select the signed certificate
file to add to the list of certificates.
Select the local key file that goes with the certificate.
Enter the password that the key file is encrypted with
(optional, for HTTPS certificates only).
Note: Passwords for the certificate creation are not
supported for Stunnel certificates.
Note:
The VPN user name and password are independent of any user names
and passwords set in ShoreWare Director for ShoreTel phone users.
