Function
Select the type of transducer being used (SINGLE or
DUAL).
Your gauge has adjustable pulse width for both high
penetration and resolution applications. The pulse width
refers to the duration of time the pulser is on. The options
are SPIKE, THIN, and WIDE.
Controls the gauge pulse frequency. The maximum fre-
quency is 333 Hz, however, the gauge automatically
adjusts the PRF according to the delay and range set-
tings; the larger the range, the slower the pulse frequency
will be.
Provides multiple input impedances to match the
impedance of the transducer and therefore optimise
transducer performance.
Provides a 50 V cut/boost to the pulser. The standard
setting is 150 V. Provides greater penetration for difficult
material types, or increased resolution on noisy materials.
Select the material velocity from a chart of basic material
types when a known sample thickness or material veloc-
ity cannot be obtained.
Performs a single point calibration. This function allows
you to automatically calculate the velocity by entering a
known sample thickness.
Performs a two-point calibration. This function allows you
to automatically calculate the velocity by entering a sec-
ond known sample thickness.
This function calibrates your gauge by setting the velocity
to a known material velocity.
Zeros the transducer and calibrates the screen (similar to
zeroing a mechanical micrometer).
