Function
Toggles the alarm function of Gate1; ON, OFF or
AUDIBLE.
The audible feature sounds a beeper when the waveform
breaks the threshold level, either above or below,
depending on the current DETECT setting.
Set the alarm detection to occur either ABOVE or
BELOW the gate THESHOLD value.
Sets the start of the gate, according to depth/thickness.
Sets the overall width of the gate, in terms of distance,
from the starting value of Gate1
Sets the sensitivity level of Gate1. Used in conjunction
with the DETECT setting, THRESHOLD acts as the trigger
point for the alarm.
The gates can be set to detect on either the positive or
negative polarity (stroke) of the half or full wave cycle.
Note: If VIEW is set to positive, and the gate negative, the
gauge will not display an amplitude percentage of full
screen height.
Toggles trigonometry function ON or OFF.
This function is used with angle beam transducers for the
inspection of welds, to calculate three measurements:
Beam path distance, Surface distance and Depth from the
index point of the transducer.
Sets the thickness of the test material. The thickness will
be used to determine which skip/leg the gauge is detecting
on.
Sets the angle of the transducer. This value is used in the
calculations above.
Calculates the surface distance in the trigonometry
function, as a physical measurement from the index point
of the probe to the front of the wedge/can/shoe/case.
Curved surface correction value to compensate for
changing sound path distance and angle. This value is
used in conjunction with the THICKNESS value in order to
calculate a correction factor.
