14.2 RF MEASUREMENT SCREEN
The
RF
view
shows
representation (similar to the trace of an
oscilloscope)
of
the
returning to the transducer. The waveform
display shows the amplitude of the signal
received on the vertical (Y) axis and time
(shown in units of thickness) on the
horizontal (X) axis.
The RF waveform includes both the positive
and the negative peaks.
The detection point is displayed on the
waveform. The RF waveform view is typically
used for fine tuning of the gauge prior to
carrying out an inspection.
