The following diagram shows the simplified UMC internal data flow if S1 is in position Remote as shown in the circuit diagram
before.
On the left side there are the four blocks representing the control stations. Only three of them were required in the example.
In the middle the so-called command control selection block is displayed. On the right the starter function block is displayed.
The configuration is as above. A cross represents a YES, an empty field a NO.
The active mode is REMOTE/AUTO as defined by S1.
Therefore the DCS can start the motor.
Other start commands (as indicated by DI4) will be blocked.
