Activation of the hazard warning lamps
after an emergency braking manoeuvre
If you brake sharply from a speed of more
than 70 km/h to a standstill, the hazard
warning lamps are then activated automat-
ically when the vehicle comes to a stand-
still.
The hazard warning lamps remain on until
switched off by pressing the hazard warn-
ing lamp switch (
10 km/h is exceeded.

Immobiliser
The immobiliser prevents your vehicle
from being started without the correct key.

To activate: remove the key from the
ignition lock.

To deactivate: turn the key to position 1
in the ignition lock.

Anti-theft alarm system*

A visual and audible alarm is triggered if
the alarm system is primed and:
the tailgate or a door is opened.

the vehicle interior is entered.
R
there is movement in the vehicle inte-
R
rior.
the vehicle is not level.
R
the left door is not opened with the key.
R

The alarm is not switched off even if you
close an open door. You can only switch
off the alarm with the key.
Before priming the anti-theft alarm sys-
tem, make sure the side windows and tail-
gate are closed. Make sure that there are no
moving objects in the vehicle interior.

To activate: lock the vehicle by using the
remote control key.
Indicator lamp : flashes briefly.
The anti-theft alarm system is primed
after approximately 25 seconds.
The indicator lamp flashes every three
seconds.

You can also prime the alarm system
without locking the vehicle using the
remote control key (

To deactivate: unlock the vehicle by
using the remote control key.

To stop the alarm: insert the key into the
ignition lock.

Press the # or * button on the key.
The alarm is switched off.
Tow-away protection* and interior
protection*
The primed anti-theft alarm* sounds an
alarm if:
the vehicle is lifted on one side

movement is detected inside the vehicle.
