Notes

The following pages provide a brief
description of the audio, navigation and
telecommunications systems available for
the smart fortwo coupé and fortwo cabrio.

The descriptions refer to the full scope of
am pm
menu optional equipment. Only the descriptions
of the equipment actually installed in your
vehicle are relevant for you. A detailed
description of the systems is available in
the separate operating instructions.

Before setting off, make yourself familiar
with the various audio, navigation and tel-
ecommunications functions. This will pre-
vent you from becoming distracted from the
traffic when you operate these functions
while the vehicle is in motion.
For safety reasons, make entries only when
Hour
menu
the vehicle is stationary and the traffic
conditions permit.

Always set the volume so that you remain
able to hear the sounds of your environment
(e.g. car horns, ambulances, police sirens
etc.). You could otherwise cause an acci-
dent.

If you wish to have a radio other than the
original smart radio installed in your
Minute
menu
vehicle, make sure that you have the neces-
sary work performed at a qualified spe-
cialist workshop, e.g. a smart Centre.
This is particularly important if your
vehicle is equipped with fittings for a
radio.
In the event of incorrect installation,
important vehicle functions could fail.
This would jeopardise the operating safety
of your vehicle and thus the safety of your-
self and others.
