Replacing The Wiper Blades - SMART fortwo coupe Owner's Manual

To remove: lever out the cover from the
passenger side using a flat object :.
X
Pull the plug from the cover.
X
Remove the bulb from the bulb holder.
X
Insert the new bulb.
X
To fit: push the plug into the cover.
X
Position the cover to the left of the open-
ing in the overhead control panel and
engage in place audibly on the right-
hand side.

Replacing the wiper blades

WARNING
Remove the key from the ignition lock
before replacing the wiper blades. The
windscreen wipers could otherwise be set
in motion and injure you.
For clear vision
only use wiper blades that are in good
R
condition
clean the wiper blades regularly with a
R
cleaning product
remove heavy soiling with a sponge or
R
brush

Remove the key from the ignition lock.
X
Fold wiper arm ? away from the wind-
screen until it engages.
X
To remove: press and hold both release
clips ;.
X
Fold wiper blade : in the direction of
arrow =.
X
Remove wiper blade in the direction of
arrow A.
X
To fit: position new wiper blade : with
recess B on lug A.
X
Fold wiper blade : in the direction of
arrow = onto the wiper arm, until
retaining clips ; engage in bracket ?.
X
Make sure that wiper blade : is seated
correctly.
X
Fold the wiper arm back onto the wind-
screen.
