the adapter to the mains supply and to your
Internet access interface. If the adapter is
to be connected using a phase other than L1,
you will also need to install a phase cou-
pler. This is the only way you will be able to
ensure the communication is reliable and
secure. Please contact an electrician if
you have any questions.

If you already have a Powerline network
setup, you can connect the vehicle to this
network.
To connect the vehicle to a Powerline
adapter, proceed as follows:

Connect the vehicle using a mains socket
or wallbox.
Right indicator lamp # on the vehicle
socket must flash green.

Plug the Powerline adapter into a nearby
mains socket. Make sure that the vehicle
and adapter have a phase L1 connection.

Switch the ignition on.

Charge current
Call up the
on-board computer (
Carry out the following steps within
30 seconds:

If the charge current value is not set to
8 A: set the value to 8 A and confirm the
setting.

Set the charge current value to 12 A and
confirm the setting.
X
Set the charge current value to 8 A and
confirm the setting.
X
Set the charge current value to 12 A and
confirm the setting.
X
Press the encryption button on the Pow-
erline adapter within three minutes.
If the Powerline adapter indicates a con-
nection, then the connection was suc-
cessful.

When finished, set the charge current
value back to the desired value.
As soon as the vehicle has established a
connection to the Internet, you can use the
"Vehicle Homepage" during the charging
process. Changes that you have made using
the "Vehicle Homepage" are also transmit-
ted once charging is completed. This data
transfer is terminated after approx-
imately three days.

Only use the on-board computer when road
and traffic conditions permit. You would
otherwise be distracted and unable to con-
centrate properly on driving, and could
cause an accident.

WARNING
No messages will be displayed if either the
instrument cluster or the multifunction
display is inoperative.
As a result, you will not be able to see
information about your driving condi-
tions, such as speed, outside temperature,
warning and indicator lamps, display mes-
sages or system failures. Driving charac-
teristics may be impaired. Adjust your
driving style and vehicle speed accord-
ingly.
Immediately consult a qualified specialist
workshop which has the necessary special-
ist knowledge and tools to carry out the
