Only use the towing eyes to tow the vehi-

cle.
The towed vehicle must not be heavier
R
than the towing vehicle.
Do not tow the vehicle backwards by the
R
basic carrier*.
Fitting the towing eye
Opening the front cover

Prise out cover : at the indentation
using a suitable object and remove.
Opening the rear cover
X
Prise out one of covers ; at the inden-
tation using a suitable object and
remove.
Securing the towing eye
The towing eye is located underneath the
carpet in the passenger footwell.

Remove the carpet in the passenger foot-

well ( page 169).
X
Take towing eye : out of the footrest in
the passenger footwell.
X
Screw in the towing eye to the stop.
X
Secure the towing cable or towing bar to
the towing eye.
Towing the vehicle
X
Switch the ignition on.
X
Depress the brake pedal.
X
Move the gear lever to position N.
N is shown in the multifunction display.
! The vehicle may only be towed if:
the gear lever is in position N.

N is shown in the multifunction dis-

play.
If the battery is fully discharged, have
your vehicle towed by a vehicle from a
qualified specialist workshop.
! Tow the vehicle at less than 50 km/h and
no more than 50 km. There is otherwise a
risk of damaging the electric drive or a
high-voltage component.
