Record Incident
Recording can start manually by pressing the control button on the MVX1000 unit, LCD Control Head or
Wireless Microphone. Recording can also start automatically from a sensor(s) installed inside the car.
When recording starts, a single or a selection of cameras start recording. During recording, you can
select and add a non recording camera to the recording.
Start Recording
To start recording:
• Press and release the Record Button on the LCD Control Head. When recording starts, a red circle
shows inside the Camera Selection / Indication Button. The LED Indicator inside the REC Button
illuminates red when recording is active.
or
• Press and release the Record Button (see
recording starts, the LED on the Record Button illuminates red.
or
• Press and release the REC Button on the wireless microphone (see
Indicator on the wireless microphone illuminates red when recording is active.
Your agency may also configure your system to automatically start recording:
• When turning on the siren
• When the emergency lights are turned on
• Upon car crash impact
Additional sensors, such as door opening and shotgun lock (supported by local installation) may

also be configured to automatically start recording.
When recording starts, the Recording Started notification is displayed indicating the currently active
cameras and microphones.
For example, the Recording Started notification displayed in
recording (red numbered icon) and all microphones are recording (for microphone status indications,

You can start and stop recording at any time while operating the LCD Control Head. For
IMPORTANT
example, you can start recording when you are viewing prerecorded buffered video or
entering information or playing back an incident. You can also start recording without
logging-in to the system.
