Chapter 5 Data Transfer

This chapter explains what you need to do in order to upload recorded incidents to the back office server.

Introduction

Evidence data can be uploaded from the MVX1000 Unit to the server of the back office.
Data can be transferred by the following methods:
• Wireless connection to a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) using secured Wi-Fi link.
• Wired connection to a Local Area Network (LAN) using direct cable connection from a vehicle to a
back office network.
• Removable storage device by undocking the Solid-State Drive (SSD) from the vehicle and docking
it inside a docking station at the back office (future option).

Upload data by cable summary

In this method, data upload is performed by connecting the MVX1000 Unit, by CAT-5e cable, to a LAN
Wire Access Point linked to the back office.
To upload data by cable:
Log-in to the MVX1000 (see

• Enter the User ID and tap Next.
• Enter Password and tap Next.
Logging-in requires permissions. Pressing "Skip login" when password is required may disable

recording and other important DVR operations.
• Enter your Partner ID and tap Next or tap No Partner to skip.
Connect the LAN extension cable coming from the MVX1000 Unit to the connector of the cable that

is connected to the LAN Wire Access Point. Upload will start automatically within a few seconds and
the following indications will be displayed on the screen:
