DCT3400 User Guide DIGITAL VIDEO RECORDER (DVR) The DCT3400 contains a hard drive for the digital video recorder (DVR) to record standard- and high-definition TV (HDTV) programs. A standard VCR records and plays analog video. DVR records and plays digital video. Unlike an analog tape, the hard drive allows simultaneous recording and playback.
If you use the IEEE 1394 output, no adjustments to the settings are required. For a TV with an HDMI connection, be sure the TV is on and connected to the connector before adjusting the settings. Motorola HDMI OUT recommends using HDMI cables less than 20 meters long.
