After setting the Epidural Mode to ON, the
user will have to decide if to set the air alarm
on or off. Use arrows key to change the
setting to ON and approve using the
START/OK key.
If epidural mode is on, whenever the user chooses the option to start a
new bag or select a program, the pump will display the option to set air
alarm on/off (if epidural mode is off, air alarm is automatically on).

Note:
screen (before entering PCA menu) all epidural setting
will remain without confirming it with the user.
PCA Program –
Without protocols
There are models, in which the PCA program has no protocol options. In
those models no code is required to set or change the PCA data. The
pump should not be in the lock mode (if required, unlock the pump as
described on page 51).
In this type of PCA, the user should only set or approve the Bag Volume,
Program Rate, Bolus Volume and Locking time (between boluses).
