7.4.
Configuration upload
The configuration upload is required when the settings propagation from one
System Manager CIP to another System Manager CIP is required. The
configuration upload is used in order to automatically set several System
Managers CIP with the same settings and avoid errors.
The settings can be downloaded from a System Manager CIP and saved on
the user's computer in order to upload it to another System Manager CIP.
Various settings can be saved under different configuration files for the user's
records. The upload cannot be done if the name of the configuration file is
different than "config.cil". So make sure to rename the desired configuration
file "config.cil" before you upload it in the System Manager CIP. Otherwise,
it will not be recognized.
The download and upload operations can be done using any FTP software. In
this case, the WS_FTP Pro
Procedure 7.2 is used when the System Managers CIP have the same software
version.
Procedure 7.3 is used when the System Managers CIP have different software
version.
To check the software version of a System Manager CIP, refer to section
5.6.3.3 System Inventory.

In the GUI of the System Manager CIP, click on System Inventory and
check that the SW Revision corresponds to the new software version.

Modify and save settings as required.
Note: Follow Procedure 7.2 and Procedure 7.3 if the settings from one
System Managers CIP have to be uploaded to other System Managers CIP.
