Protecting the line voltage supply

Requirements for
protecting the line
voltage supply

To protect the line voltage supply, proceed as follows:
 The feeder must be protected using an external overcurrent protection
device.
 It must be possible to switch off the feeder using a separator (external
switch).
 The separator must be located near the supplied device.
 The way in which the supplied device is arranged must not compromise
the operation of the separator.
 The separator must be identified so that the assignment to the supplied
device is clearly visible.
