Connecting the power supply

ELECTRIC SHOCK
Never insert pointed objects (narrow screwdrivers, wires, etc.) into the
device or into the connection terminals for electric conductors. Do not touch
the connection terminals.
Start connecting the electrical wires only if all the above safety
requirements are fulfilled.
See "Requirements for connecting electrical wires" on page 7.
Failure to follow this instruction can result in death, serious injury, or
equipment damage.
The supply voltage is electrically isolated from the housing.

For every supply voltage to be connected, perform the following steps:
 Connect the wires for the supply voltage according to the pin assignment
with a suitable socket.

Operating the device

2.5.1
Connecting the power supply
You start up the device by connecting the power supply via the 8-pin, "X"-
coded M12 socket for PoE port or via a 5-pin, "A"-coded M12 socket.
You find the prescribed tightening torque of the locking screw in General
technical data section on page 44.
