Appendix 4 The Comparison of Operation Between GX Configurator-DN and GX Works2

The following table lists differences in operation between the GX Configurator-DN and
the GX Works2.
GX Configurator-DN
Parameter writing in Flash ROM is
performed on the monitor or test window.
(Refer to Section 6.5.15)
Backup of parameter is performed on the
test or monitor window. (Refer to Section
6.5.17)
Flash ROM setting is performed on the
Flash ROM window. (Refer to Section
6.5.17)
GX Works2
Follow the procedure below when performing parameter
writing in Flash ROM.
1) Select [Online] → [Write to PLC].
2) Click the "Intelligent Function Module" tab.
3) Check the "Valid" box for the module to write the
parameter.
4) Click the Execute button.
Follow the procedure below when performing backup of
parameter.
1) Select [Online] →[Read from PLC].
2) Click the "Intelligent Function Module" tab.
3) Check the "Valid" box on the module to readout the
parameter.
4) Click the Execute button.
Follow the procedure below when performing flash ROM
setting.
1) Open the setting window data of QJ71DN91.
2) Select [Tool] →[Flash ROM Operation].
3) Check the saving item or "clearing parameter of flash
ROM" in the flash ROM operation window.
4) Click the Execute button.
*1: When using GX Works2, add-in GX Configurator2-DN.
