Appendix 5 How to Use the QJ71DN91 in System of MELSEC iQ-R Series

By using RQ extension base unit, the QJ71DN91 can be used in the system of
MELSEC iQ-R series.
For details, refer to the MELSEC iQ-R Module Configuration Manual.
(1) Registration of profile
To use the QJ71DN91 in the system of MELSEC iQ-R series, registration of the
profile (data in which the module information is stored) in GX Works3 (software
package for the programmable controllers to be used in the system of MELSEC
iQ-R series) is required.
By executing the "Setup_0x0000_q_B340_v00A.exe" stored in the "TOOL" folder
in the installation DVD-ROM (Disc 1) of GX Works3, the profile can be registered.
When the profile is registered, the QJ71DN91 is displayed on the product
classification of "Network Module" in "Module Configuration Diagram" of GX
Works3.
(2) Precautions
(a)
GX Configurator-DN cannot be used in the system of MELSEC iQ-R series.
(b)
The mode switch can be set in range of 0 to 8.
(c)
If the mode switch is set to the range other than 0 to 8 or the node number
switch is set to the range other than 0 to 63, an error (2241H: Parameter
error (module)) occurs in the CPU module of MELSEC iQ-R series.
(d)
Set parameters in a sequence program because the following cannot be
set in GX Works3.
Master function parameters (Refer to Section 7.3.2 (1) (2).)
Slave function parameters (Refer to Section 8.2.2 (1).)
Save Parameters to Flash ROM (Refer to Section 7.3.2 (3), 8.2.2 (2).)
(3) Refresh processing time
When the QJ71DN91 is used for MELSEC iQ-R series, the refresh processing
time for when "Target" is a refresh data register (RD) is as follows.

MELSEC iQ-R CPU Module User's Manual (Application).
