5: Other procedures

About this section

This section contains the procedures to:
Make a manual recording.
Send data using the modem.
Test the monitor.
The patient needs to know how to do the first two procedures. You (not the
patient) may need to know how to test the monitor if you refurbish systems
between patients. Other procedures related to assembly and operation of the
3100 are the same as for the 3000.

How to make a manual recording

Instruct the patient as follows: When you want to record a manual event, hold the
response buttons for three seconds. The display will show that the event is being
recorded and you can let go of the response buttons.
The device will record each manual event for 30 seconds.
Detected arrhythmias and treatments will be automatically recorded.

Hold the response buttons for 3 seconds.

Release response buttons when you see this message.
The monitor automatically records for 30 seconds, then resumes
normal operation.
