4.1. System Expansion Capabilities
4.1.1. System Expansion via SATA Interface
The baseboard comes with an onboard SATA interface connector (Figure 4, pos. 2). Users can expand the KBox E-200
Series with a 2.5" SATA HDD / SSD drive.
4.1.2. System Expansion via mSATA Interface
The baseboard comes with an onboard full-sized mSATA interface connector (Figure 4, pos. 3). Users can expand the
KBox E-200Series with an mSATA SSD drive.
4.1.3. System Expansion via eSATA Interface
The front I/O panel comes with an mSATA interface connector (Figure 1, pos. ). Users can expand the KBox E-200
Series with an external SATA hard disk device.
4.1.4. System Expansion via mPCIe Card Interface
The baseboard comes with two onboard mPCIe interface connectors. One connector (Figure 4, pos. 4) is intended to
be used to install a half-sized mPCIe WLAN card and the other (Figure 4, pos. 5) is to install a full-sized mPCIe 3G / 4G
modem card.
4.1.4.1. System Expansion via SIM Socket
The baseboard comes with an onboard socket for a SIM card (Figure 4, pos. 6).
In order to use the SIM card reader functionality, a corresponding mPCIe modem card must be installed to the full-
sized mPCIe socket (Figure 4, pos. 5) of your KBox E-200 Series.
