Turn off the power switch before removing or inserting the bobbin case.
The machine may operate if the foot switch is depressed by mistake, which could result in injury.

4. PREPARATION BEFORE SEWING
Turn on the power switch.
Press the thread key.
• The work clamp / button clamp will lower.
Press the thread key.
• The work clamp / button clamp will return to where it was
before threading mode was started.
Adjust the thread tension to the weakest possible tension by
turning the thread tension nut (1) until the bobbin case will
not drop by its own weight while the thread end coming out
of the bobbin case is held.
