4.2.5 Connect Ground Cable
4.2.5.1 Lightning and Grounding Protection Overview
The BaiCells Nova comes equipped with a lightning protection device. General practice is to
place the grounding as close to the device as is possible. The cable should be kept short and
uncoiled. You must use yellow-green ground wire that is at least 16mm
The base station is equipped with one GPS lightning arrestor. You will need to connect the GPS
lightning arrestor to one M6 grounding screw. You will use another grounding screw to connect
to a reliable outdoor grounding point (earth). The connecting point must be tin-soldered.
The connection of the grounding points and the ground bar must be tight and reliable, and
rustproofing is necessary. You can use rust prevention paint, anti-oxidation coatings, or grease.
Refer to the grounding and lightning protection diagram in Figure 4-21.
