temperature of the electrical housing of the equipment meets the marked protection

Installation instructions:
1. The cable and conduit entry devices shall be of a certified flameproof type Ex d, suitable
for the conditions of use and correctly installed.
2. Unused apertures shall be closed with suitable blanking elements.
3. When the ambient temperature at the cable or conduit entries exceed 60 °C, cables
suitable for at least 90 °C shall be used.
4. Remote mounted sensor; in type of protection EX ia IIC, only to be connected to the
associated Model 8800D Vortex Flowmeter electronics. the maximum allowable length
of the interconnecting cable is 152 m (500 ft).
Special Conditions for Safe Use (X):
1. For information regarding the dimensions of the flameproof joints, the manufacturer
shall be contacted.
2. The Flowmeter shall be provided with special fasteners of property class A2-70 or
A4-70.
3. Units marked with "Warning: Electrostatic Charging Hazard" may use non-conductive
paint thicker that 0.2 mm. Precaution shall be taken to avoid ignition due to
electrostatic charge on the enclosure.
