ENGINE SPEED DOES NOT INCREASE OR STABILIZE
Check whether the oil level indicator is ON.
OFF
Check the external connected switch and wire
harness for failure or open circuit.
Normal
Check the engine wire harness connecting the ECM
and each switch for continuity.

Check whether the engine retains 1,400 min
constantly when the external connected switch is
operated.

Remove the air cleaner elbow
whether the choke valve is closed when turning on
the starter motor or pulling the recoil starter.
