Chemical protection suits programs

CSA is a program for washing chemical protection suits as worn by the firefighters.
It provides a chemical-thermal disinfection (140 °F (60 °C), 20 min.) which requires the
use of the corresponding detergent.

Observe the recommendation of the protective suit manufacturer regarding maximum
wash temperature.
In the case of unidentified soiling, check decontamination, as this is not guaranteed and
must be checked.
To remove external soiling, zip/close suits before treatment with the "CSA special pro-
gram". Unzip/open the garments for disinfection with the "CSA program" for soiling on
the inside and outside. Turn the hood inside out to protect the visor and place the feet
over it.
Observe the minimum load size for the machine so that the suits do not unfold and
cause damage to the visors, or prevent them from unfolding by using a suitably-sized
laundry net.
Heavily contaminated suits should be pre-washed using the "CSA special" program.
