Step
1.
Use FTP or TFTP to transfer the
system software image to the
root directory of the master
device's flash.
2.
Copy the system software
image to the root directory of
each subordinate switch's
flash.
3.
Specify the file as the startup
software image for each
member switch in user view.
4.
Reboot the entire IRF fabric.
Upgrading system software without performing
ISSU (method 2)
This method simplifies the software upgrade procedure described in
performing ISSU (method
software image to a member device and specifying the file as the system software image to be used at
the next startup.
To use this method to upgrade system software:
