Upgrading Boot ROM

Step
1.
Use FTP or TFTP to transfer
the Boot ROM image to the
root directory of the switch's
storage media.
2.
Enter system view.
3.
Enable Boot ROM image
validity check.
4.
Return to user view.
5.
Upgrade the Boot ROM on
the switch.
6.
Reboot the switch.

Upgrading the entire system software

Step
1.
Use FTP or TFTP to transfer
the system software image
to the root directory of the
switch's storage media.
2.
Specify the file as the startup
software image in user view.
3.
Reboot the switch.

Upgrading software by installing hotfixes

Hotfixes can repair software defects without rebooting the switch.
