Flywheel Inspection; Flywheel Installation - Honda CTX700N/ND Service Manual

ALTERNATOR / STARTER CLUTCH
Remove
the flywheel [ 1 ] using the special tool
.
TOOL
:
[ 2 ] Rotor puller
07933
- 3290001
Remove the washer [ 1 ] and needle bearing [ 2 ]
.
Remove the woodruff key [ 3 ] .
•
Be careful not to damage
the key groove and
crankshaft .
INSPECTION

Inspect the following parts for scratch , damage
,
abnormal wear and deformation
.
-
Starter reduction gear shaft
-
Starter reduction gear
-
Woodruff key
-
Needle bearing
Replace if necessary .
INSTALLATION
Install the woodruff key [ 1 ]
,
• Be
careful not to damage the key groove and
crankshaft
.
Apply engine oil to the needle bearing rotating area
.
Install the needle bearing [ 2 ] and washer [ 3 ]
