Clutch Eop Sensor Removal/Installation - Honda CTX700N/ND Service Manual

DUAL CLUTCH TRANSMISSION ( DCT ) ( CTX 700 D / ND )
Remove the O
-
ring [ 1 ] from the shift spindle angle
sensor [ 2 ]
,
installation is in the reverse order of removal
.
• Replace the O
-
ring with a new one
.
•
Apply engine oil to a new O
-
ring .
• Align the flat surfaces of the shift spindle angle
sensor and gearshift spindle end .
TORQUE
:
Shift spindle angle sensor bolt :
12 N m ( 1.2 kgf - m , 9 lbf
-
ft )

•
These three clutch EOF sensors are the same parts
.
Remove the right engine side cover ( page 12
-
57 )
.
Disconnect the following :
-
No
.
1 clutch
EOP sensor 3 P (Gray) connector [ 1 ]
-
No . 2 clutch EOP sensor 3 P (Gray) connector [ 2 ]
-
Clutch line EOP
sensor
3 P ( Black ) connector [ 3 ]
Remove the clutch EOP sensors [ 4
]
and O
-
rings from
the right crankcase cover
.
Coat a new O
-
ring [ 1 ] with engine oil and install it into
the right
crankcase cover .
Install the clutch EOP sensor [ 2 ] and tighten it
.
TORQUE : 19.6 N
- m
( 2.0 kgf
- m , 14
lbf
- ft
)
Connect the 3 P connector to the proper sensor .
NOTE :
Each sensor wires has the following identification mark
near the connector
.
•
1
: No . 1 clutch ( lower ) EOP sensor
• P
: Clutch line ( middle ) EOP sensor
•
No mark : No . 2 clutch ( upper ) EOP sensor
Install the right engine side cover ( page 12
- 57 ) .
