Requirement
Instructions for the operation of the system,
including actions to be taken in accordance
with established and well-rehearsed
procedures, shall be available for rapid
reference, preferably prominently and
permanently displayed, at each control station.
As far as possible, graphic illustrations should
be used: where text is necessary this should
be clearly legible and in the preferred
language(s).
Updating of the instructions for operation shall
be carried out after additions to or
modifications of the system, or on the basis of
practical experience, or revised procedures.
Instructions shall include:
• The functional operation of the system.
• Action to be taken in the event of a system
failure.
A bound copy of the operational instructions
shall be provided.
