Configure the PBX

The steps required to declare an i7xx IP set on the PBX are the following:
Unlock IP SET functions
Configure the IP access point
Create at least one general purpose set logical subscriber
Create DS IP logical subscribers
Select the VoIP encoding parameters (if required).
Update of calls rerouting (in case of dual-homing).
Nota :
Refer to the PBX operating manual for the complete procedure.
The steps required to declare an M760 or M780 set that is to be upgraded to IP (through the
addition of an IP cartridge) on the PBX are the following:
Unlock IP SET functions
Configure the IP access point
Create at least one general purpose set logical subscriber
Upgrade the digital set (M760, M760E or M780) to an IP set (i760/i760E or i780): Rather than
deleting the digital user and recreating an IP user, the type of user is changed. A physical user
becomes a logical user but keeps his characteristics.
Select the VoIP encoding parameters (if required).
5.1.4

To configure IP sets via the call server

Configuring via the Call Server is possible and useful for limiting user intervention.
5.1.4.1
Modifiable parameters
The following parameters are initialised with a default value:
DTMF code generation times (90 ms) and time between two DTMF codes.
Random time range before new attempt to open a TCP/IP session (15s, 45s).
Audit active, yes or no.
Time between two audits (30 sec). Modifying this parameter results in changing the maximum
response time on an audit as the maximum response time on an audit corresponds to 3 times
the time between two audits, i.e. a default value of 1 min 30 sec.
5.1.4.2
Procedure
The tones for an IP set are defined in exactly the same way as for a digital set. Refer to the PBX
operating manual for the complete procedure. The PBX must be restarted for the modifications to
become effective.
The other information is configured using the following configuration data:
DCF 230 for the transmission time of a DTMF code (10ms unit).
DCF 286 for the time between two DTMF codes (10ms unit).
