Connecting Multiple Units
Turn off the power of the machine and then turn it on again.
The assigned ID is recognized by the machine. If the ID is assigned for the first time, a corresponding
driver is required.
Windows 7: The required driver is automatically created.
Windows Vista/XP: A message to prompt the user to install the Windows driver is displayed. Install the
driver in accordance with the message.

Check that only one machine is con-
nected.
Check that [
] is displayed next to the machine
of which the setting is made and that the other
machines are not displayed. ([
the second and later machines to which an ID has
been assigned.)
In the initial setting, "A" is assigned as an ID of the
machine. Therefore, the ID of the first connected
machine and that of the machine under connection
are both "A".
In the figure shown on the left, the setting of the
second machine is made. However, the machine
under connection is considered as the first machine
(with the ID "A"). Therefore, only the setting of a single
machine is displayed.
Select the machine and click [Set-
tings].
Click the [Maintenance] tab.
Select any unused ID in [Machine ID] ,
and press [Set ID].
Assign an ID to identify the machine on VPanel.
Since A is assigned to the first machine, be sure to
select B, C, or D.
Do not assign a same ID. If you connect the ma-
chines with the same ID at the same time, the
computer might shut down.

Read the message displayed on the screen
as shown in the left, and click [OK].
When the message, "Operation is complete, " appears,
click [OK].
