TROUBLESHOOTING

Any of the following fail to light: headlight, high beam indicator light, taillight, license plate light, posi-
tion light, meter light and accessory light (OPTION).
TIP
• Before troubleshooting, remove the following part(s):
1. Rider seat
2. Seat lock bracket
3. Fuel tank
1. Check the condition of each bulb
and bulb socket.
Refer to "CHECKING THE BULBS
AND BULB SOCKETS" on page 7-
80.

2. Check the fuses.
(Main, headlight, signaling system,
ignition and taillight)
Refer to "CHECKING THE FUSES"
on page 7-81.

3. Check the battery.
Refer to "CHECKING AND
CHARGING THE BATTERY" on
page 7-82.

4. Check the main switch.
Refer to "CHECKING THE
SWITCHES" on page 7-77.

5. Check the dimmer switch.
Refer to "CHECKING THE
SWITCHES" on page 7-77.

6. Check the headlight relay.
Refer to "CHECKING THE
RELAYS" on page 7-85.

LIGHTING SYSTEM
NG→
Replace the bulb(s) and bulb
socket(s).
NG→
Replace the fuse(s).
NG→
• Clean the battery terminals.
• Recharge or replace the battery.
NG→
Replace the main switch.
NG→
The dimmer switch is faulty. Replace
the left handlebar switch.
NG→
Replace the headlight relay.
