• If "C", "c", or "r" appears, contact your sales or service representative.
Code
A paper jam has occurred in the
E0
machine.
E1 Tray 1 has run out of paper.
The paper required for making copies,
E2 printing jobs sent from the printer driver,
or printing manual reports is not loaded.
E3 The front cover or fusing cover is open.
E4 The bypass tray has run out of paper.
An appropriate size paper for printing
E5
Report is not loaded.
The print cartridge has not been

installed.
E7 The machine has run out of the toner.
E8 The print cartridge is almost empty.
The paper for combine copy, duplex
E9
copy or ID Card copy is not loaded.
e1 The waste toner bottle is full.
If paper is loaded in the bypass tray
e2 when printing with the paper fed from
Tray 1, you cannot print.

Causes Solutions
Remove the jammed paper. See p.54 "Paper
Feed Problems".
Load paper into Tray 1. See p.18 "Loading
Paper".
Load the appropriate size paper.
Close the front cover or fusing cover
completely.
Load paper into the bypass tray. See p.18
"Loading Paper".
Load the appropriate size paper.
Reinstall the print cartridge. See p.47

Prepare a new print cartridge.
Load A4 or Letter size paper.
