12. Remove the starter positive wire; then remove
the engine ground wire from the crankcase.
13. Remove the front and rear V-belt cooling boots
from the V-belt housing; then remove the cool-
ant hoses from the engine.

14. Loosen the output drive boot clamp; then slide
the boot off the output housing.
15. Disconnect the shift linkage from the transmis-
sion shift arm; then swing the shift linkage for-
ward and out of the way.
