4.2 Replacing FRUs

Please make sure you follow the safety guidelines presented in
making changes to the hardware.
Unless otherwise noted in the sections below, removing the power to the unit / putting
the unit out of service is not required.
For instruction on how to remove and install the top cover of the unit please refer to
Section 4.1.6.

4.2.1 Air Filter

Note!
You need:
- A replacement air filter
- No special tools
To replace the air filter, flip the front cover open until the hinges are completely open.
You will find the air filter AF2 on the inside of the bezel secured by thumb screws AF1
and AF3.
Caution!
Loosen the thumbscrews until they are fully disengaged and extract the air
filter carefully. Insert the new air filter. Please make sure that the orientation is
the same as shown in the figure above to avoid a mechanical conflict between
the air filter and the thumb screws on the fan modules.
After inserting the air filter, tighten the thumb screws and close the front cover.
