156 Maintenance

Fans

The actual lifespan depends on the running time of the fan, ambient temperature and dust
concentration. See the firmware manual for the actual signal which indicates the running
time of the cooling fan. For resetting the running time signal after a fan replacement,
please contact ABB.
Replacement fans are available from ABB. Do not use other than ABB specified spare
parts.

Replacing the circuit board compartment cooling fan

WARNING! Obey the safety instructions in chapter
you ignore them, injury or death, or damage to the equipment can occur.
1. Stop the drive and do the steps in section
18
before you start the work.
2. Remove the drive module out of the cabinet. See section
module
on page 158, or for drive modules with option +H381, see section
the drive module with option +H381
3. Undo the fastening screw of the fan enclosure.
4. Unplug the power supply cable of the fan.
5. Install the new fan in reverse order to the above.
6. Reset the counter (if used) in group 5 in the primary control program.
