2.6 System Configuration via DHCP
Example of a DHCP configuration file:
# /etc/dhcpd.conf for DHCP Daemon

subnet 10.1.112.0 netmask 255.255.240.0 {
option subnet-mask 255.255.240.0;
option routers 10.1.112.96;
}

# Host berta requests IP configuration
# with her MAC address

Lines that start with a '#' character are comment lines.
The lines preceding the individually listed devices refer to settings that apply
to all the following devices.
The fixed-address line assigns a permanent IP address to the device.
