Figure 4-1 shows the measurement results with the preamplifier off.

Step 15. Turn the preamplifier on. When the preamplifier is ON, the word AMP should
appear in the lower left corner of the display.
The displayed noise level should be lowered by approximately 20 dB on the dis-
play, and the signal should appear on top of the displayed noise. The noise level
will drop further if the RBW is reduced.
Figure 4-2 shows the measurement results with the preamplifier on.
