4.7.1 Setting of the rigid media

The procedure for loading the rigid media is explained below.
Set the media according to the following procedure.
Caution :
Make sure to use a clean media tray. If not clean, clean with Isopropanol.
Step 1 :
Turn ON the power of printer.
Step 2 :
Printer starts the initializing operation.

The following message is displayed on the operation panel.
Set Media detection ON. The media tray is detected. → Origin Point is set.
Step 3 :
Step 4 :
Press the [F2] key to raise the pressure rollers.
Step 5 :
Turn the head height adjusting handle in the UP direction (clockwise). Then, lift the print head
until the gap between the print head and the grid roller is wide enough to allow the media to pass
freely.
•
The gap (head gap) between the print head and the grid roller is indicated on the head gap
counter.
