5.3.7 Installing media holder plate
Notes :
Do not use the media holder plate in combination with rigid materials
Variations in quality and use conditions could cause the edges of the media to curl, resulting in damage to
the media by the print head surface.
To prevent this, use the media holder plate to reduce the amount of curling in the media.
Use the following procedure to install the media holder plate.
Step 1 :
Set the media so that the distance from the edge of the roll media origin side to the media loading
position is at least 40mm. → Refer to "Loading roll media"

Step 2 :
Align the edge of the roll media with the alignment line on the media holder plate, and install the
media holder plate on the platen.
Notes :
• When installing the media holder plate, be sure that the magnet in the rear does not
stick out from the stainless steel part of the platen. If this happens, the media holder
plate will come off and interfere with the print head.
