Turn wiper blade : in direction of
arrow ; until it disengages from bracket.

Remove wiper blade :.
Installing wiper blades
Front wiper blades

Attach wiper blade onto wiper arm until it
locks in place.

Fold wiper blade back onto wiper arm until
it engages.
X
Fold the wiper arm backward to rest on the
windshield.
Make sure you hold on to the wiper arm
when folding it back.
! Make sure the wiper blades are installed
properly. Improperly installed wiper blades
may cause windshield damage.
Rear wiper blade

Slide wiper blade : onto wiper arm until it
engages.
X
Fold the wiper arm backward on the rear
window.
Make sure to hold on to the wiper when
folding the wiper arm back.
! Make sure the wiper blade is installed
properly. An improperly installed wiper
blade may cause rear window damage.

Adjusting washer jet nozzles

Check the setting of the washer jet nozzles at
regular intervals. If the water jet does not hit
the windshield approximately in the center,
you can adjust them yourself.

Warning!
For safety reasons, remove the SmartKey
from the starter switch before you adjust the
washer jet nozzles. The windshield wipers
could otherwise be set in motion and injure
you.
! Do not use any pointed objects (e.g. a
needle) to adjust the washer jet nozzles
since this could damage the nozzles.

Move washer jet nozzles : up or down.
Washer jet nozzles : are correctly set
when the water jet hits the windshield
approximately in the center.

Checking brake pads
The service life of brake pads is dependent
upon varying factors including driving style
and operating conditions. Mercedes-Benz
recommends you to regularly check the
thickness of the brake pads, especially before
long trips or driving on downhill grades.
