Your hands should be dry and free of oil and

grease.
If the newly installed bulb does not come

on, contact an authorized F-CELL Service
Center.

Mercedes-Benz recommends using
Longlife (LL) bulbs.

Replacing the bulbs for the front lamps is
a technically complex process. For your
convenience, we recommend that you have
this work carried out by an authorized
F-CELL Service Center.
Replacing bulbs for front lamps

Switch off the ignition.
X
Turn the exterior lamp switch to position
$.
X
Open the hood (

Low-beam bulb

Press retaining lug of housing cover ;
downward and remove cover.
X
Pull electrical connector off.
X
Unclip the retainer spring on the bulb
socket ? and take out the bulb.
X
Insert the new bulb so that its socket
locates in the recess of the lamp housing.
X
Clip on the retainer spring.
X
Plug electrical connector onto the bulb.
X
Reattach housing cover ; on the lower
side and fold it upward until it engages.
High-beam bulb
X
Press retaining lug of housing cover :
downward and remove cover.
X
Turn bulb socket A with the bulbs
counterclockwise and remove it.
X
Pull bulb by the base (not by the glass tube)
out of bulb socket A.
X
Insert new bulb so that the bulb base
fits in the recess of the bulb socket
R
rests flush against the bulb socket
R
