When refueling for the first time, get
instructions on the refueling procedure

Warning!
The fuel tank of your vehicle may overheat
during refueling and can damage the fuel
system. Never refuel at 5 000 psi (350 bar) or
10 000 psi (700 bar) hydrogen (H
that do not pre-cool the hydrogen (H
in doubt, consult the hydrogen (H
personnel. Should the fuel tank overheat, the
hazard warning flasher will activate
automatically. Abort the refueling process
immediately. Inform the hydrogen (H
personnel and contact an authorized F-Cell
Service Center

Warning!
Hydrogen (H
) is highly flammable. Never

allow sparks, flames or smoking materials
inside or near the vehicle while at the refueling
station.
If the floor or ground of the refueling station
is not sufficiently discharged, the vehicle
must be grounded.
Locking/unlocking the vehicle with the
SmartKey automatically locks/unlocks the
fuel filler flap.

In case the central locking system does
not release the fuel filler flap, see "Fuel filler

Grounding the vehicle
The vehicle must be grounded when the

The vehicle may be grounded via the lock
striker of the passenger-side rear door. The
passenger-side rear door must be open.
Refueling
The fuel filler flap is located on the right-hand
side of the vehicle towards the rear.

Opening: Press fuel filler flap : at the
point indicated by the arrow.

If you have not switched off the drive
system, it switches off automatically upon
opening the fuel filler flap.
