Reading Managed Object Values

You may only retrieve (read) managed object values if your management station is a member of the same community as the
SNMP agent.
Dell Networking supports RFC 4001, Textual Conventions for Internet Work Addresses that defines values representing a type
of internet address. These values display for ipAddressTable objects using the snmpwalk command.
There are several UNIX SNMP commands that read data.
Read the value of a single managed object.
snmpget -v version -c community agent-ip {identifier.instance | descriptor.instance}
Read the value of the managed object directly below the specified object.
snmpgetnext -v version -c community agent-ip {identifier.instance | descriptor.instance}
Read the value of many objects at once.
snmpwalk -v version -c community agent-ip {identifier.instance | descriptor.instance}
