Chapter 5: Configuration through the
Settings file overview
You can administer the 9600 Series IP Deskphones centrally through the settings file that Avaya
provides with the devices. The settings file is a text file that resides on a file server and contains
configuration parameters.
Configuring the settings file
About this task
Modify the settings file to provision the device configuration parameters.
Procedure
1. On the file server, go to the location where you downloaded the settings file.
2. Open the settings file in a text editor.
3. Set the required parameters.
4. Save the settings file.
