Analyze Mode is a powerful troubleshooting tool that enables you to monitor communication traffic between the
NetGuardian 480 and its alarm collection master.
When you start Analyze Mode, T/NG480 will automatically start monitoring the system. You may use the
drop-down menu to switch between DCP and SNMP Channel monitoring.
DCP and SNMP Communication traffic will be displayed in either hexadecimal or ASCII. Data transmitted by
the NetGuardian 480 is displayed in green text, and data received by the NetGuardian 480 is displayed in red
text.
To halt system monitoring by Analyze Mode at any time, click the Stop button. To quit Analyze Mode, click the
Exit button.
Note: Analyze mode is available for serial craft port connections only. A TCP/IP connection from T/NG480 will
disable Analyze mode.
